Privacy
Theo is built and run by one high school student, not a company. This page says exactly what the app stores, who else it reaches, and how to get rid of it — in plain English, because you should be able to read it in two minutes and know where you stand.
What Theo stores
- Your email address — used to create your account, sign you in, and send confirmation and password-reset email. Nothing else.
- Your display name, if you set one.
- Your conversations with the assistant — the messages you send and the replies you get, so your history is still there when you come back.
- Your work — CAD sketches and Studio scenes you save.
- Basic usage events — that a panel was opened or a message was sent, with a timestamp. This is a count of activity, not a record of what you typed.
Theo does not ask for your age, school, real name, or location, and there is no advertising or third-party analytics tracking anywhere in the app.
Who else your data reaches
Theo runs on other companies' infrastructure, so a few services necessarily see some of it:
- OpenRouter and the AI model provider behind it — the messages you send the assistant are forwarded to them to generate a reply. Do not put anything in the chat you would not want leaving this app.
- Supabase — stores the database and handles login.
- Vercel and Cloudflare — host and serve the site, and run the bot check on the signup form.
- Upstash — briefly caches replies to common opening questions (24 hours) so the same question does not cost a fresh model call. A cached reply is stored under a fingerprint of the exact question, is only ever reused for a byte-identical question, and is not linked to the account that asked it.
What Theo will never do
- Sell your data, or share it with advertisers or data brokers.
- Use your conversations to train an AI model.
- Show your work or your chats to other users. Every row in the database is locked to the account that created it.
Deleting your account
You can delete your account at any time from Settings inside the app. Deleting is immediate and permanent: your account, conversations, messages, sketches, scenes, and usage events are all removed. There is no recovery, and no copy is kept.
If you cannot sign in, email ajitjohal09@gmail.com from the address on the account and it will be deleted manually.
If you are a student, parent, or teacher
Theo is a study and engineering tool, and the assistant is an AI — it can be wrong, and it is not a substitute for a teacher, a doctor, or a counsellor. If you are under 13, please do not sign up. If you are a parent or a teacher and want an account and its data removed, email the address above and say so; you do not need to explain why.
